The RFA supports and encourages performing and visual arts organizations throughout the Northern Neck by awarding grants to these organizations. In February 2016, the Friends of Belle Isle State Park received a grant for its Music by the River summer concert series and the Rappahannock Art League earned a grant for support of its Spring Art Festival which showcases artwork of students from all three Lancaster County Public Schools. These were just two of RFA's grant recipients during its 2015-16 year. The Rappahannock Foundation for the Arts makes grants to support arts programming in local schools, projects organized by local arts organizations, and other activities that fulfill the Foundation's mission. RFA is especially interested in programs that reach a broad segment of the community in the lower Northern Neck.
