RAI is a start-up technology company specializing in high-precision semantic search technologies. Current products are in development stage. These include medText, a prototype application for the retrieval of medical information based upon a patient's history of present illness. RAI technologies are unique in that they retrieve information based upon concepts, not keywords. They leverage the contextual logic found in medical ontologies to dramatically improve the precision of search. This not only results in higher precision, but also a search experience that is far easier for the user. Serious information queries for specific information is very difficult for the layperson using a tradition keyword approach. But with concepts the user has only to describe the situation or thing of interest and the natural language processing tools will extract all the important criteria necessary. This results in a search technology where a user can perform very sophisticated searches completely in natural language.
