Rankine Solutions, LLC Information

Rankine Solutions, LLC is committed to increasing firefighter safety through the development of new technologies. We currently have a patent pending on the design of a Personal Respiratory Safety Device which will help increase the chance of survival for wildland firefighters in burn over situations. This device was inspired by the Yarnell Hill Fire Tragedy which occurred in July of 2013. The following fall semester, five senior mechanical engineering students decided to dedicate their yearlong capstone design project to preventing a tragedy like this from happening again. Resulting from these initial efforts is the founding of Rankine Solutions, LLC, and the development of the PRSD II. In the coming months, we will be able to share more details about this new product and how it will be used to save lives.
