Welcome to King's College!
When Graham Bruce founded King's College in 1896, his stated aim was that the school would provide 'the best all-round education it is possible to obtain'. Over 100 years on, this statement still both guides and underpins all that we do.
King's College aims to be the best it can be in every one of the College's programmes: academic, sporting, cultural, spiritual and social. We appreciate this is a lofty ambition, but it is one which has seen King's, throughout its history, preserve its enduring values whilst still being prepared to innovate, to ensure we remain at the forefront of education.
St Cuthbert's is a leading independent day and boarding school for girls from Year 0 to Year 13 based in Auckland, New Zealand.
At St Cuthbert's, we understand that choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions a family will make. St Cuthbert's girls learn in an environment that encourages, supports and inspires students in every way; our school has a truly remarkable culture that empowers and embraces the spirit of each girl, guiding her to become a resilient young woman with strength of character and knowledge.
St Cuthbert's is a Knowledge Rich school and we understand how to teach girls to be successful. Being an independent school gives us the freedom to go beyond the curriculum and teach in the ways we know work best for girls. In an age where teaching styles and the intensity of assessments can be at the expense of true knowledge, we are committed to developing and delivering a deeper level of subject learning. Our students learn from teachers who are experts in their field.
Every girl who enters our gates is given the encouragement, support and opportunity to unlock what makes her amazing.
Often referred to as ‘The Grammar Way’, Auckland Grammar School sets its standards very high, demanding excellence across all aspects of daily life.
While providing young men with a rigorous academic education, each young man in turn is expected to pursue excellence in acquiring knowledge and skills while embracing the School’s values.
These values are core to upholding the School’s position of pre-eminence in boys’ secondary education. They are integrity, excellence, respect, courage, pride, commitment and humility.
Through teaching and practising these values, we hope to develop in our students valuable personal qualities such as self-discipline, resourcefulness, adaptability, creativity, honesty, courtesy, self-reliance, healthy self-esteem, pride in personal appearance and public spirit, with the aim of using these virtues for the good of the School and the community.
