Randall Implement Co Information

Randall Implements Co., Inc. is located on State Highway 5S in the village of Fultonville, NY, approximately 35 miles west of Albany. Founded in 1966 by Mr. Robert Freeman, Randall Implements has grown from a small single line dealer to one of the area's largest and most trusted full service multi-line dealerships. In 1966 Bob was a farmer, but in the fall of that year decided to erect a small 40' x 60' building on his farm in Randall, NY. He chose J.I. Case Co. as the dealership's major supplier, and began operating the business on a conservative $5,000 loan. During the first five years, farmers learned of Bob's extremely capable mechanical ability. Through his training at the State University of New York at Morrisville, his self-taught techniques gained on his farm and his love for mechanics, Randall Implements soon became the farm equipment servicing expert in the area. That soon required an additional servicing space and a new 24' x 96' shop was added to the original building. At that time, Randall Implements seemed to be servicing more John Deere, International, and Allis Chalmers tractors and equipment than their own J.I. Case brand, and as a result decided to give up the J.I. Case franchise in 1978. Randall Implements concentrated solely on supplying parts and service to customers. At the time Bob said, "Our service became stronger than ever, and there was hardly any well known brand of equipment that we didn't work on". In 1986 Randall Implements entered into an out of the ordinary contract with an extremely well known and successful John Deere dealer, K.C. Canary, Inc. Bob closed Randall Implements, and along with his service employees took their skills and began operating K.C. Canary's Fultonville location. This unique agreement was short lived, and just nine months into the venture the agreement was terminated.
