Ranch Hands Rescue is a 501(3)(c) nonprofit animal sanctuary and counseling center. RHR focuses on care for special needs animals, and trauma-informed mental health therapy for individuals with complex trauma. RHR is the first and only farm animal sanctuary to partner trauma-informed therapists with special needs animals in Equine and Animal Assisted Counseling for trauma survivors who have not made progress in other programs. Ranch Hands Rescue is also opening Bob's House of Hope, the first safe house in the country for young men, 18-24, who have been victims of sex trafficking. BHoH is a long-term, wrap around care program specializing in total recovery for male victims of commercial sexual exploitation. These unseen survivors make up nearly 50% of sex trafficking victims, yet they have no where to go that addresses the unique combination of challenges facing them. Finally they will have a safe haven of their own.
