While many of our sponges are used in household baths and showers, we also supply sponge material for conversion for use in aviation. Some have even been sent into space! The process was developed during WW11 whilst attempting to find an alternative to balsa wood for the manufacture of aircraft wings. Before any aircraft were made it (luckily!) noticed that the material became beautifully soft when exposed to water! Over the 70+ years we have made our products, we've discovered there are many more uses for PVA foam sponge than we ever thought possible.
