RAK & Co works on strategy and operational improvement projects. Our greatest pride is our long track record of successful implementation in different companies, across many different types of business problems, in multiple regions of the globe. Our style is to work in very small teams, usually one senior person ("One riot, one ranger.") in close collaboration with the company. Meetings and group exercises are kept to a minimum, but when genuine debate and dialogue are required, we make sure they take place and are executed well. Regular focused discussions with senior executives ensure the effort stays on track, that the right issues are being addressed, and that the organization has time to assimilate the findings. Our process is flexible, adapted to the specifics of the issues, and kept in the background. A benefit of our style is that the work is executed quickly and implementation proceeds at a rapid pace. We collect extensive data to ensure being grounded in all the available facts and use individual interviews across different functions, geographies and levels, as well as external experts when appropriate, to collect a complete perspective of the problem. Quantitative analysis, including cash flow modeling, risk analysis, and market research, is used to ensure that high quality discussions take place when deciding on the proper course of action. A substantial portion of our work has been outside of North America. Large projects have been completed in Latin America, Europe, and Asia. We are experienced in the challenges of global enterprises and are comfortable working with people from many countries and cultures. Our assignments have covered a wide range of industries, including automotive, brewing, hotels, shipping, chemicals, and health care.
