Elwyn is proud to be a premier provider of support, treatment, and education for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), autism, and behavioral health challenges in the United States. Founded in 1852, it holds the distinction of being the nation's oldest organization in this field. Our mission is straightforward yet vital: to make life better for people with developmental and behavioral health challenges. We offer a comprehensive continuum of care, often extending throughout a person's lifetime. Our services are categorized into three main areas: Adult Behavioral Health Services, including residential and community-based programs; Children’s Services, encompassing Early Intervention, Education, and Children’s Behavioral Health; and I/DD Services, providing extensive support through group homes and various non-residential programs.

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-style sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of skills and friendship with their families, Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Since opening in 1977, Boys Town National Research Hospital has been internationally recognized as a leader in clinical and research programs focusing on childhood deafness, visual impairment and related communication disorders. We have developed medical programs that are now instituted in hospitals and clinics across the country, and since 2019, we have been increasing our impact in the field of pediatric neuroscience as both a clinical practice and an area of intensive research. Today, the hospital offers a broad range of clinical services, the largest of which is pediatric care with Boys Town Pediatrics, which has offices across the Omaha area. We also offer more than 25 specialties including orthopaedics; ear, nose and throat and audiological services, in addition to a variety of pediatric specialties like gastroenterology, ophthalmology, pulmonology and several levels of pediatric behavioral health care. Boys Town Hospital offers surgical, inpatient and pediatric intensive care on the campus of Boys Town, Nebraska. Here you'll find board-certified pediatric specialists, pediatric nurses and highly trained physician hospitalists who make it their mission to care for the unique needs of children. And when children need immediate, critical care, parents can trust the experienced intensive care team in our pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). As a research hospital, we have assembled national leaders in research who are making contributions in the areas of genetics, neuroscience, hearing, language, vision and speech disorders. Applying these findings with innovative technologies and exploring new research frontiers, the opportunities for new medical diagnoses, evaluation and treatment discoveries are endless. The hospital annually serves more than 60,00 children and families from across the United States.
