Gustavus Adolphus College is a church-related, residential liberal arts college firmly rooted in its Swedish and Lutheran heritage. The College offers students of high aspiration and promise a liberal arts education of recognized excellence provided by faculty who embody the highest standards of teaching and scholarship. The Gustavus curriculum is designed to bring students to mastery of a particular area of study within a general framework that is both interdisciplinary and international in perspective. Sida är en förvaltningsmyndighet som arbetar på regeringens och riksdagens uppdrag för att skapa förutsättningar för bättre levnadsvillkor för människor som lever i fattigdom och förtryck.

Röda Korset i Halmstad har som mål och ambition att vara en mötesplats där vi arbetar med att överbrygga språk- och kulturolikheter samt bryta ofrivillig ensamhet, social isolering, fattigdom och utanförskap. Våra aktiviteter främjar integration och hälsa och de stärker delaktighet samt skapar trygghet. Röda Korset i Halmstad engagerar över 200 volontärer, har ca 800 medlemmar och har för närvarande 8 anställda. Vi har en ideell styrelse på 9 ledarmöter som leder arbetet i kretsen. Vi finns på skolor, på sjukhuset, på fängelset, på äldreboende. Vi gör hembesök, går på gemensamma promenader, tar ut äldre på cykelturer, vi är medföljare, lär ut svenska, arrangerar resor för pensionärer och vi finns på asylboenden. Vi stickar och syr, vi har en Första Hjälpen-grupp, vi övar viktig krisberedskap och vi driver en av Halmstads finaste Second hand-butiker. Grunden för vårt arbete vilar helt på frivilliga insatser och människors vilja att ge av sin tid och sitt engagemang till vår verksamhet.
