Rabbit Trap Timber Information

The story began in a small shed on an old dairy farm in the Southern Highlands of NSW, using found timbers from the property we set about making our own furniture out of necessity and our mutual love of the obvious age and character of each piece from dismantled cattle yard, wool sheds and old wharves across NSW. Being social creatures we hosted many parties with our table as a showpiece and soon after began taking orders from friends who were in the process of opening their own cafes. And so it was born... Rabbit Trap Timber. Our lives became consumed with demolitions sites, timber yards and the chase for beautiful recycled hardwoods everywhere from Eastern Suburbs wharves to South Coast Railway Stations. We grew.. taking on large projects such as fitouts for chain stores, entire cafes and restaurants, contracts for Tourism Australia... It got big + busy. We have had many moves... from the farm to a workshop in Bowral to a mega workshop which proved too large and took us away from our whole ideal of creating hand crafted pieces with the emphasis on finishes that take time and love, we got to a crossroad of going bigger or taking it back to basics ...we took it back to basics - no high tech machinery or staff to train its just us and we are back on a farm in a shed.
