qWave is a Stavanger based R&D company with a vision to develop a stress testing tool to enable operators to safely maximize carbon storage of CCS projects and to develop and service a range of downhole tools for improved testing, stimulation, perforation and cleaning of wells in the CCS and oil & gas industry. A prototype of our first formation stress testing tool is currently being developed and tested as part of a joint interest industry project supported by several operating companies. This tool will be applicable to ensure maximised and safe carbon (CO2) storage and will therefore contribute to the energy transition and reduced carbon emissions. The range of tools and services to be developed are based on a new technology invented by qWave.
