Quiz the Nation is a high-tech pub quiz the whole nation can play. Questions are delivered in an hour-long satellite TV broadcast and players submit responses using proprietary apps for iOS and Android. Players pay roughly £1 to enter each quiz and compete against others playing in the same pub for a prize provided by the landlord. Pubs compete for a weekly prize of £1000 and, at the end of each broadcast run, the top ten pubs in the country take part in a grand final to find “Britain’s Brainiest Pub”.
