Quitline is committed to helping all New Zealanders quit smoking, with a particular focus on Māori, Pacific peoples and pregnant women. Our free services are funded by the Ministry of Health. Smokers can access our support via telephone, text or online. We help clients to understand the three parts of the smoking addiction - chemical, emotional and habitual - and create strategies for beating these. To combat the chemical part of the addiction we provide subsidised nicotine patches, gum and lozenges.
