Quirkbot Information

‘Quirkbot' is the worlds first microcontroller that allows you to build robots using normal drinking straws. This is made possible through it’s compatibility with the construction toy ‘Strawbees’ and the ‘Arduino’ programming environment. With ‘Quirkbot’ you can build interactive projects using only drinking straws and off-the-shelf components. You don’t need to know any programming or electronics to get started. ‘Quirkbot’ was naturally created from a need of the ‘Kids Hack Day’ Community: to have a fun, simple and flexible tool to program light, sound and motion into one single project. The story behind ‘Quirkbot’ is closely tied to the story of Kids Hack Day - a Global Movement created to bridge the gap between kids, education and technology. Together we want to make it possible for kids of all ages to learn programming in the most fun and engaging way.
