Sunlover Reef Cruises is a proudly Australian-owned Cairns tourism operator and SSI Dive Centre. Since 1991 we have introduced more than 1.3 million guests to the Great Barrier Reef.
Our signature experience is the Moore Reef pontoon on the Outer Great Barrier Reef. Guests can snorkel across a 9,000 m² snorkelling area, explore by glass-bottom boat or semi-submersible, visit the underwater observatory, and add diving, Seawalker, guided snorkelling or a scenic helicopter flight. It is also the only commercial pontoon on the Great Barrier Reef with a waterslide.
SSI Dive Centre at Moore Reef
Sunlover is an SSI (Scuba Schools International) Dive Centre. Every scuba course we teach, from introductory SSI Basic Diver experiences to SSI certification courses, is delivered by our Moore Reef dive team on the Outer Great Barrier Reef. Certified divers are welcome too, and we recognise PADI, SDI and NAUI certifications alongside SSI.
We also run Fitzroy Island ferry services and Reef & Island In A Day, which combines the Outer Reef and Fitzroy Island in one relaxed, capped-numbers itinerary.
Education and conservation shape how we operate. Our marine education team delivers curriculum-linked school programs, guided interpretation, citizen science and reef monitoring.
The Great Barrier Reef is a World Heritage Area, and taking guests there is a privilege we never take for granted. We are a long-standing Hall of Fame Ecotourism Australia certified operator and a High Standard Tourism Operator, recognised by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority for operating sustainably and delivering high-quality reef experiences.
For tourism partners, we aim to be responsive, flexible and easy to work with, with a diverse product range, reliable operations and genuine support.
