Quib Information

The acclaimed film critic, Robert Ebert once said, “A film is a terrible thing to waste.” At Quib®, we couldn’t agree more. And we offer a corollary: every moment of a film counts, every shot, every line of dialogue. Every moment is a potential journey into the filmmaker’s mind, a chance to understand the filmmaker’s vision and learn more about the power and art of film. A great film can move us in subtle and complicated ways. Film also can bring us together in shared experience, linking us emotionally and intellectually. If you have a passion for film, Quib’s online platform lets you comment on any moment in a film -- a scene, a great line, an actor’s sidelong glance. Learn what other people know and love, too. Imagine all the wisdom, opinion, facts, back stories and conversation about a film unspooling in sync as you watch. You’ll connect with people who share your interests and sensibilities, and you can follow them to other films and build a network of fellow travelers, your best film companions ever. Quib is now in beta. We invite film lovers to help us test Quib by sharing your insights and observations. Quib hopes to enrich the experience of film for everyone, from the scholar to the critic to the casual viewer. We want to deliver the commentary that most interests you and let you make your mark, too. Help us peel back the layers of the mystery that is film.
