QUERCUS Information

QUERCUS is a southwestern environmental design practice based in Las Cruces. We help our region capitalize on its stunning ecology, by solving typical issues of site uses, drainage, and climate, then turn those into inviting spaces. That enhances larger interactions or private retreats, by celebrating yet conserving scarce resources. Quercus projects are textural and sensitive to their geography. With plants crucial to an inviting space, native species are elevated to reinforce their ecoregion in a manner other design elements don't. Hardscape and passive water harvesting integrate with plantsmanship, to support habitat and provide uncommon clarity. As a solo practice, Quercus works on a variety of outdoor spaces that create wildness within structure, then pattern within process.
