Quello Information

Quello was born out of a lifelong love affair between a woman and her wine. The woman is called Roberta, the wine Quello and both are Italian. Having dedicated her life to making it, selling it, and importing it, Roberta saw an opportunity to break down barriers and make fine wine more accessible and more fun for everyone. So, out went the bottles, the corks and any hint of pretentious wine-speak and in their place came wine in a can, with a unicorn on the label and a sense of mischief and joy in its heart. That could be enjoyed just about anywhere. This was no ordinary wine either. Here was a blend of the Trebbiano and the Pagadebit grapes from the renowned wine-growing region of Emilia-Romagna. Left to ferment naturally, the result is a gently sparkling, low acidic wine that is crisp and zesty. Like a classy Prosecco. Not only was this the first wine to come in a cheeky can, but it’s still the only wine in a can to be entered in the International Wine Challenge, and the only one to win an award there in 2017.
