A truly unique and stunning venue in the heart of Glasgow’s West End. Formerly Kelvinside Parish Church, Òran Mór, Gaelic for ‘great melody of life’ or ‘big song’, is a thriving arts & entertainment venue in the heart of Glasgow’s West End. Guests can enjoy dining beneath our stunning celestial ceiling mural, which was painted by acclaimed Scottish artist and author Alasdair Gray and is Scotland's largest piece of public art. We also offer a Victorian Bar and Whisky Bar, John Muir Room Restaurant and Brasserie Restaurant, Private Dining Room, Live Music venue, Night Club, and the now internationally recognised ‘A Play, A Pie and A Pint’ lunchtime Theatre.

WEST is Scotland’s favourite independent brewery and the only brewery in the UK to brew all of its artisan lagers and wheat beers in accordance with the Reinheitsgebot, the ancient German Purity Law dating from 1516. The law prescribes only the use of four basic ingredients in brewing – water, malt, hops, and yeast. No chemicals. No preservatives. No artificial flavours. The only additive is the time required to ensure the perfect pint. WEST's flagship beer, St Mungo Lager, can be found at over 3000 outlets across the UK, as well as in packaged format across several major Supermarkets in Scotland. In 2018, a number of new packaged beers were released including fan favourites, Heidi Weisse and Munich Red. In 2016, following a decade in business, WEST opened a new £5million brewery, housed in the same premises within the iconic Templeton Building on Glasgow Green. The new brewery brought with it a ten-fold increase in capacity to 25,000 hectolitres a year. Attached to the Brewery is hospitality outlet, WEST on the Green, comprising of a large beerhall restaurant, beer garden and events space, showcasing WEST's signature beers as well as the best of German cooking and Scottish produce. As the brewing production expanded, so did WEST on the Green with the opening of a 250 capacity Weddings & Events venue, the WEST Courtyard. OUR ETHOS - Glaswegian Heart. German Head.
