Quadrant is the machine learning business unit of D-Wave Systems Inc., the leader in the development and delivery of quantum computing systems and software. Quadrant develops and applies machine learning algorithms and models, and delivers state of the art performance to complex problems in industries such as life sciences, computer vision, telecommunications, financial services, and insurance. The heart of the Quadrant approach is generative learning, providing the benefits of deep learning to customers lacking the massive volumes of labeled data and expertise typically required for such problems. Inspired by D-Wave’s quantum computing research and development, Quadrant’s algorithms fit naturally into the capabilities of D-Wave’s quantum computers, but run today on commodity GPUs, and are expected to be accelerated in the near future in hybrid platforms that combine quantum processors with GPUs and CPUs.
