QPE Assistant is a tool for predicting Qualifying Precipitation Events (QPEs). QPEs drive inspection requirements under the 2022 California Construction General Stormwater Permit. The application uses data from the government's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to determine if a significant rain event is likely to occur at a given site and estimate how long the rain event may last. Once logged into the system, users may construct a list of sites they are interested in tracking and generate reports for those sites. Sites located in the same NOAA weather 'zone' are grouped together in the report. Automatic email reporting can be enabled, giving you a daily snapshot of this week's predicted stormwater activity.
