Centura was founded as Central Supply Company in 1933 with its first location a garage on Hopewell Avenue in Toronto (Dufferin and Eglinton area). Central Supply Company started of as a building supply wholesaler selling blocks, cement, brick, Arborite and some ceramic products to the construction industry. Central Supply Company continued to expand adding locations in Montreal, Quebec, Ottawa, Halifax, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver, Halifax, Moncton and St. Johns. The late 80’s brought a new marketing strategy, and the name of the company was formally changed from Central Supply Company to Centura. Many products are now sold under this brand and the name “Centura” is synonymous with quality and service. The product ranges changed and were expanded upon including resilient flooring, sheet vinyl, carpet and accessory products were added. Centura has continued to grow into what is now one of North America’s most formidable floor covering distribution companies. Centura imports products from major manufacturers located from all around the world. We are proud to be aligned with major Canadian manufacturers such as Amtico, Tarkett, Schluter, Venture Carpets. Bell Carpets and Vallefoam. The Company is very involved in the promotion and sales of flooring and installation products to architects, designers, contractors, floor covering dealers and home centers.
