QBR also produces the Harlem Book Fair, the largest African American book Fair nationally, held annually in New York City and throughout the United States. The Harlem Book Fair, which free to the public, features over 250 exhibit booths, four stages, celebrity authors, book selling, storytelling and a variety of musical entertainment. The program of activities includes an opportunity for attendees to be a part of the studio audience for the author panel discussions that take place at the Schomburg Center for Research and air live on C-Span's Book TV. Authors will offer their perspectives on relationships, health, finance, music, politics, street fiction, the state of black publishing, as well as provide tips on how to become a successful published author. This is why QBR The Black Book Review and the Harlem Book Fair were born - to inform, enlighten, and entertain. In the wings there are hundreds of talented and committed writers who only need "the word" spread about their work. QBR and the Harlem Book Fair will be the first word on books by and about the black experience. This is our mission.
