Qatar Foundation Research and Development Information

Qatar Foundation Research and Development (QF R&D) is one of the key pillars of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development. As custodian of the Qatar National Research Strategy (QNRS), it is leading the effort to make Qatar an international center for research and development excellence and innovation. QF R&D oversees implementation of the QNRS, with the aim of developing the capabilities of Qatar's people and institutions; building and maintaining a competitive and diversified economy; improving the health and well-being of the national population; and supporting the nation’s distinctive culture and the security of its people, while also preserving and improving the natural and built environment. QF R&D is home to Qatar National Research Fund, a globally renowned scientific research funding organization, and Qatar Science & Technology Park, a world-class hub for technology innovation and commercialization.
