At PetSmart, we’ll do Anything for Pets. ❤️🐾 And the people who love them! Because we’re those people, too. Pets inspire and motivate us to bring our best selves to work each day. Our associates are devoted to ensuring that pets’ lives are happy and healthy. So, naturally, we’re devoted to ensuring that PetSmart is a happy and healthy workplace, too. Whether based in a store, salon, PetsHotel, distribution center, or at our home office, you’ll find yourself inspired and empowered to go further, reach higher, and make the most out of your #LifeAtPetSmart.
As the largest specialty retailer in North America, we’re proud to employ approximately 50,000 associates across 1,660+ stores, seven distribution centers, and two home offices. Reptilia is a Canadian zoological organization dedicated to reptile and amphibian education, conservation, animal welfare, and public engagement.
With locations in Vaughan, Whitby, and London, Ontario, Reptilia cares for more than 1,000 animals representing over 250 species. Approximately 95% of the animals in our care are rescues or surrenders.
All three Reptilia facilities are accredited by Canada’s Accredited Zoos and Aquariums (CAZA), reflecting our commitment to professional standards in animal welfare, veterinary care, conservation, education, safety, and facility operations.
Education is at the heart of what we do. Reptilia delivers curriculum-linked school programs, field trips, camps, outreach programs, and hands-on learning experiences for students across Ontario. We are a member of the Science Teachers’ Association of Ontario (STAO), while our camp programs are accredited by the Ontario Camps Association (OCA) and supported through our participation with Kids in Camp.
Our professional animal-care team is also connected to the broader zoological community through involvement with the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK).
Reptilia participates in conservation, research, wildlife rescue, breeding and headstarting programs, professional training, and collaborative initiatives with government, academic, zoological, and conservation partners.
As part of Ontario’s tourism sector, Reptilia is a member of Attractions Ontario and the Ontario Motor Coach Association (OMCA), and we actively support community partnerships including Big Brothers Big Sisters and HCI.
Our mission is to create meaningful connections between people and wildlife while contributing to the responsible care and long-term conservation of reptiles and amphibians.
