GISCENTRAL is where Palos Verdes on the Net (PV NET) provides Geographic Information Systems services and training. There are several exceptional benefits from GIS Central's GIS training program. We've learned from many years' experience that it is nearly impossible to effectively teach GIS in a structured, lecture type class or from a text book. PVNET's GIS teaching and training success is achieved by using ESRI's Virtual Campus Learning courses. We pride ourselves in providing free services to seniors, work force development and computer skill for our youth and college students. THE PVNET LEARNING CENTER is a state of the art 1,300 square foot facility designed for learning and is available to host special technology meetings supported with its twenty computer stations and a large computer projection screen. Within the facility is a special studio for the production of web based programs that includes sound, still and video photography A state of the art Geographic Information System (GIS) supports a variety of intern supported local community projects.
