PVLabs designs and delivers next-generation stabilized optical systems for airborne and mobile platforms where Size, Weight, Power, Cost, and Performance (SWaP-C) directly determine capability. With more than 40 years of experience in stabilized imaging, PVLabs has deliberately re-engineered how these systems are built—unlocking significantly higher SWaP-C performance and larger effective optical apertures than traditional architectures allow, while simplifying integration and long-term evolution across platforms. That advantage is delivered through FAST® — Fifth-generation Advanced Stabilization Technology. FAST is the industry’s first true fifth-generation stabilization framework. Rather than scaling legacy third- and fourth-generation gimbal designs, FAST rethinks stabilization at the architectural level—integrating precision mechatronics, advanced control algorithms, fiber-optic signal management, and a modular Open Systems Architecture. The result is a new class of stabilized optical systems that deliver: - Higher stabilization performance enabling larger effective apertures - Greater payload volume in smaller, lighter mechanical envelopes - Faster integration and reduced lifecycle cost A common FAST architecture is applied consistently across the PVLabs product family, driving compatibility, interoperability, interchangeability, and commonality (CI²C) across system sizes and missions. A fiber-optic–based sensor management backbone, including optional multi-channel FORJ capability, enables true “glass-to-glass” imaging and future-ready data paths.
