Purple Bee Studios Information

Purple Bee is a sanctuary for creativity. A hippy-hillbilly-Polish music paradise. For bands - It's a retreat from the normal club scene and a platform to make honest music for attentive ears. It's a place to cross-pollinate with other bands and songwriters. It's a place where they can remember the reason they started playing music. Purple Bee is a professional recording studio and live video production soundstage - all run completely by volunteers. We call these volunteers The Purple Bee Crew - a loose collective of musicians, engineers, artists, and one-of-a-kind personalities - all combining talents to make something real - something bigger than the sum of its parts. The amazing bands and artists that make the pilgrimage to Purple Bee are also volunteers - they are partners in this pursuit of creativity and passion. We will help them present the fruits of this pursuit. We will record, produce, edit and present their music online at purplebee.org for the rest of the world to discover. GregoFest is the yearly culmination of all this creativity and passion. It's the ultimate Purple Bee experience. It's a family reunion, a cookout, campout, half-ass waterpark, a giant jam session and one hell of a party. It's also a great chance to turn more folks on to our mission - along the way asking for help raising critical funds to sustain Purple Bee and improve the technical capabilities of the studio. But in the end, this is NOT a money-making endeavor. It's about music, friends, community, the collective spirit, and the creation of timeless art. To us, it's more of a love-making endeavor...
