Punga Trading Information

Punga Trading was started in 1995 in South Africa. We were originally a trading house dealing in food and grocery items. In our early days we were an agent for Coca Cola cans in Ghana West Africa and a brand of Fruit Juice. In 1998 we shipped our first container of ethanol. Due to our service and quality products, our reputation grew by referral. We have built our volumes consistently every year for the past 10 years and are committed to building long term relationships with clients and suppliers. Today, we still buy regularly from our first supplier from whom we bought our first 20000ltr 10 years ago, and from all other suppliers with whom we have dealt with since. Some of our clients have purchased from us consistently every month for 10 years. In 2005, due to foreign exchange controls in South Africa limiting our international trading expansion, we relocated our main operations to New Zealand.
