Pulse Tidal has developed a technology which is able to generate electricity from flowing water caused by the tides - a vast, predictable and renewable source of energy. Our technology enables us to install tidal power machines in shallow water, where costs are lower and connection to the power grid is straightforward, potentially offering the most attractive tidal power development approach. We have proven our technology concept with a 100kW demonstration machine in the Humber Estuary, near Grimsby in the UK, and we are now developing a 1.2MW machine for deployment in 2012. We aim simply to make tidal power a commercial reality as soon as possible.
