PULP is predicated on the mission that a more inclusive digital media landscape means a more just world. Bodily discrimination disproportionately affects vulnerable communities (queer/trans, black, disabled, poor folks, among others) — here at PULP we believe destigmatizing sexuality and decriminalizing the human body as a means of social justice has never been more salient. In addition to continuing to publish written content, we’re also building a robust online education presence — PULP Public School (PPS), which covers five pillars: sexuality, writing/art (craft), digital publishing (industry/trade), wellness, and identity. In PPS, writers, artists, activists, and educators will share their expertise in online lectures and workshops to a paying community for a living wage, operating on a sliding scale. PULP is for and of the body. And we honor all its permutations.
