Since its foundation in 1928, the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso has established itself as one of the most prestigious institutions of the Chilean higher educational system. Its alumni body is characterized by the institutional seal: excellent academic and professional education, solid human values and strong commitment to public service. Founded in 1842, the University of Chile is the main and oldest institution of higher education in the country, with a national and public character. Generating, developing, integrating and communicating knowledge in all the areas of knowledge and culture are the mission and basis of the activities of the University. This makes up the involvedness of their work and directs the education they impart.

La Universidad de Concepción es una institución humanista, laica y pluralista, creada por iniciativa de la comunidad de Concepción y constituida como una Corporación de Derecho Privado. Fue fundada el año 1919, siendo la tercera más antigua del país y una de las veinticinco universidades pertenecientes al Consejo de Rectores de las Universidades Chilenas. Sus estatutos la definen como una institución de Educación Superior, cuya misión es crear, transmitir y conservar el saber y la cultura, en sus más diversas manifestaciones.
