PUBLIC is an impact firm with political DNA. We work with organizations and leaders advancing the public good — helping them build public support, win elections, move policy, secure public funding and raise the resources their work requires. Our roots are in campaigns, government, advocacy and public affairs. That experience taught us to approach communications differently. In high-stakes work, there is always an outcome, a deadline and real people whose decisions matter. You have to understand the landscape, listen, make choices, find the message, reach the right audiences and adapt as the environment changes. PUBLIC brings that discipline to every engagement. We start with the outcome. Then we identify the people who matter, understand what they believe and what may move them, develop the message and build a coordinated campaign around the right mix of messengers, moments and channels. Our work spans four core areas: Bonds + Levies — building public understanding and support for voter-approved investment. Candidate Campaigns — strategy, messaging and voter outreach for serious Democratic and progressive candidates running statewide and locally. Public Affairs + Advocacy — helping organizations and coalitions move policy, public opinion, funding decisions and other consequential public outcomes. Fundraising Campaigns — helping mission-driven organizations strengthen their case for giving, grow their donor base and raise more. Our capabilities include research and polling, strategic planning, messaging, creative, digital, paid media, earned media, community engagement and direct outreach. But capabilities do not organize our work. The outcome does.
