NPE Action is an advocacy group whose goal is to fight to protect, preserve and strengthen our public school system, an essential institution in a democratic society. Join us in our fight for good public schools with well-trained teachers, a rich curriculum, small classes, and a democratically elected school board. We oppose high-stakes testing; privatization of public education; mass school closures to save money or to facilitate privatization; demonization of teachers; lowering of standards for the education profession; for-profit management of schools.
