Pinnaroo OOSH is a community owned and focused not-for-profit organisation. It is operated by a team of passionate and dedicated educators and a volunteer Parent Management Committee. Conveniently located in the grounds of Winmalee Public School, the service provides Before and After School Care for children in the local area during the school term. During the school holidays the service operates an exciting Vacation Care program and welcomes children from a range of different areas and schools. Pinnaroo OOSH can accommodate up to 90 children per session and currently does not have a waitlist. These places are made up of both casual and permanent bookings. This framework allows the program to build on each childs continuing interests and provides opportunities for them to play, explore and develop new skills in their own space and time. Our routines and program also support our strong focus on building each childs capacity and agency. Part of the way this is evident in our program is through sensory and adventurous play activities. We proudly support the children to explore with nature, textures, climbing and creative free play with non-conventional equipment. Our educators facilitate discussions with the children on safety, guiding them to create rules and boundaries for new activities. Our educators provide effective supervision to ensure each activity is done safely whilst still providing the children with the space to explore.
