PTR Robots Information

Multi Tower designs, builds and manufactures mobile, flexible and modular robots for safe patient lifting and moving in hospitals, day care and rehab. Multi Tower is spin-out from Blue Ocean Robotics in Odense, Denmark, right in the heart of robotics in Northern Europe. The concept has been developed in a PPP between the University hospital in Køge, Denmark, and Blue Ocean Robotics. Our collapsible, multi-functional robots will replace the existing stationary overhead lifts, which have limited range and are troublesome and expensive to integrate in building structures. Multi Tower robots are capable of both, lifting and transferring patients within the building, e.g. from bed to bath rooms, to diagnostics or to therapy. Size variability combined with a small footprint (both collapsed and unfolded), enables our robots gently and effortlessly moving patients. Due to omni-directional wheel systems they are able to manoeuvre in confined and obstructed areas. With our products we wish to augment the patient's well-being while temporarily hospitalised, to improve working conditions of the clinical staff, and to optimise resources in healthcare.
