PsyAx Information

PsyAx is a counselling centre, private memory clinic, and diagnostic neuropsychology service in the heart of Melbourne. We work with people who may be experiencing psychological distress or difficulties with their memory, concentration, or other types of thinking skills. We also conduct medico-legal assessments for use in WorkCover, road injury, TAC, and insurance claims as well as assessments of decision making capacity. At PsyAx we provide a range of services including: - counselling - memory checkups - cognitive profiling - strengths & weaknesses - dementia diagnosis & brain injury assessments - neuropsychological assessments & IQ testing - assessments for NDIS funding & disability support - behaviour management & neurorehabilitation - medico-legal assessments & assessments of decision making capacity PsyAx head office is located in the Melbourne CBD and is easy to get to by public transport or car. We are responsive and flexible. Depending upon the reasons for the consultation and the client's needs, sessions can be brief or span several hours. Consultations can be scheduled for a single session or across multiple appointments. Unlike some public health options, there are no limitations placed on assessment length or comprehensiveness. PsyAx offers an extra level of privacy when discretion is paramount. The PsyAx head office is wheelchair friendly and has accessible toilets for wheelchair users. Appointments are available during business hours, after hours, and on Saturdays. We are registered with the Transport Accident Commission (TAC), WorkSafe, and the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA).
