Ana Padron and Diego Blanco are without question one of the most exciting couples in the world of Argentine Tango today. They are known for their innovative, captivating and joyful style. To see Ana and Diego dance with their energetic elegance, superb technique and keen sense of musicality is to see the rich history of the Argentine tango. As stage performers, choreographers and teachers, they have danced and taught in tango festivals throughout Europe, Asia, the Mediterranean and the Americas. Most recently Ana and Diego performed in the Berkshires at Jacob's Pillow with the New Generation Dance Company. They danced in Mariela Franganillo's ensemble piece "Recuerdo Tango" at New York's Pace University in 2013. You may have happened upon them online through their instructional and informative Howcast Videos, where with clarity, they demystify the intriguing Argentine tango. Ana and Diego continued their education at the University of Florida where they received their Bachelor's degree in the Performing Arts and graduated with honors. They formed their considerable foundation in dance as they studied classical ballet, modern dance, jazz and African dance as well as choreography, and the science of movement. Their studies and the legendary techniques of dance visionaries Jose Limon, Martha Graham, and Jennifer Muller and are some of the influences that have established Ana and Diego as the outstanding dancers that they are today. Ana and Diego live in New York City where they co-founded their dance company Tango For All. Aptly named, Ana and Diego feel deeply that tango is for all and that everyone can learn to dance. They know that through communication between partners to the movement of tango's time honored steps, a world of self- discovery and profound joy awaits. The Tango Society of Boston was incorporated in June 1997 as a Massachusetts non-profit organization dedicated to the support and growth of the Argentine Tango. Within 5 months, it already had 250 members, and the numbers are growing weekly! While there are many facets to the Argentine Tango-the music and the culture being among the most prominent-it is the dance that brings most of us together. The Tango is a social and participant's dance and is for everyone to learn and enjoy, regardless of dance background! Our membership has people from all walks of life, and has probably 20 or more countries represented! What Do We Do? We are not just a paper organization! Our numerous activities fall into two broad categories:1.
