Founded by Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade, PROUDLY is the first baby care brand centering the needs of Black and brown babies. As of 2015, 50.2% of babies born in the US have one parent of color (U.S. Census), but historically, no baby brands have been squarely focused on this community of children. PROUDLY is the first brand with affordable baby care products uniquely formulated for the needs of the darkest skin tones, which are more prone to conditions like eczema, dryness, acne, cradle cap, and irritation. The products have designed by a team of Black experts—board-certified dermatologist Dr. Naana Boakye, board-certified pediatrician Dr. Heather McGowan, and chemist Peter Kpere-Daibo—who have thoughtfully studied and selected gentle, plant-based ingredients to nourish dry, sensitive skin. PROUDLY is on a mission is to embrace and celebrate babies of color and to showcase and highlight their village of caretakers and loved ones. We also aim to showcase that companies can be built differently, emphasizing diversity and representation. PROUDLY is proud to be Black-founded, Black-owned, and 100% diversely run by BIPOC professionals. To learn more, visit us at www.proudly.com. To find us in store, shop at Target.
