Protein & Cell is a peer-reviewed international journal that publishes original research articles, reviews, and commentaries concerning latest development in multidisciplinary areas in biology and biomedicine, with an emphasis on protein and cell research. The subject areas include, but are not limited to biochemistry, biophysics, cell biology, oncology, genetics, immunology, microbiology, molecular biology, neuroscience, stem cell, plant science, protein science, structural biology and translational medicine. In addition, we also address the up-to-date research highlights, news and views, and commentaries covering research policies and funding trends in China. Since the launch at 2010, Protein & Cell had been quickly indexed by Medline/SCI and got its starting point of 3 impact factor. The journal also realized fully OPEN ACCESS since 2014 to ensure the highest visibility to global scientists. Protein & Cell is jointly managed by the Higher Education Press, China, the Beijing Institutes of Life Science, CAS, and the Biophysical Society of China. It is managed by a team of professional staffs to handle manuscript submission, review, and publishing, and an exceptionally strong editorial board consisting of internationally renowned experts in different subject areas to uphold a high standard for our content and to ensure an unbiased and expedient reviewing process. We sincerely hope that these combined efforts will turn this journal into a congregating forum to foster academic exchanges among researchers across different fields of life sciences.
