Following the original development of laser wire stripping by NASA in 1979, laser wire stripping was actually commercialised and developed further by Spectrum Technologies also. Spectrum has since become the world leader in the design and manufacture of specialised, laser-based industrial wire processing equipment for use in the manufacture of complex wire harnesses and wiring assemblies found in aerospace, defence, medical, rail, automotive, and other critical industries.
