PROMUS Information

Promus works to facilitate the music industry and connect actors from the music environment in a closer network. One of the key elements in Promus’ vision is to develop competences within the community of emerging talents as well as industry professionals. Promus offers advice and counseling to anyone facing questions or difficulties within the music industry. To support the continuous professionalization and sharing of knowledge among industry professionals, Promus, among other things, is producing the academic course Promus Publishing Academy. The course is developed in collaboration with Koda and The Danish Music Publishers Association. Promus is behind several activities aimed at the emerging talents in the city. Especially our mentoring program plays a central role in raising the level of professionality. By connecting them with experienced mentors, people from the emerging talent base are given an opportunity to build connections, network, and gather experience from the established music industry. Promus produces the yearly conference SPOT+, which takes place during SPOT Festival. The conference addresses both Danish and international industry professionals and takes up a broad variety of topics that are relevant for the music industry through panel discussions and networking activities. SPOT+ is produced in collaboration with SPOT Festival, MXD - Danish Music Export along with several organizations and partners. A part of Promus’ vision is to strengthen the international relations of the music environment in Aarhus. In line with this, Promus has played a big role in developing the musical network Music Cities Network which is a collaboration between ambitious music cities.
