Projects4Change Information

Projects4Change was launched on the 8th of January 2018, we operate within the North East and we exist to fulfill a very important need. There are skills, knowledge and staffing shortages in the youth sector brought about through the loss of so many experienced workers. This has created a perfect storm in which young people are increasingly bearing the brunt. Organisations are not able to be pro-active or reactive to young people's needs with so many reductions in services, they can not realise their potential because workers are lacking in key skills, are overstretched and projects underfunded. Projects4Change provides direct delivery support through an experienced youth worker who jointly creates projects together with organisations and young people from the bottom up. We transfer our 20 years plus knowledge of the process of developing targeted projects with young people, therefore plugging the skills gap. Which adds to the sustainability of youth organisations. We do this because WE LOVE YOUTH WORK and believe local youth projects have a special role to play in providing services. They are easily accessible, have rich histories and have great relationships with young people and communities. This work is essential to underpin youth work provision to ensure it is accessible, quality assured and meeting the current needs of young people and wider society.
