Projecto TASA (Técnicas Ancestrais, Soluções Actuais / Ancestral Techniques, Current Solutions) focuses on strategic innovation of artisan products through design consultancy for craftsmen and craft related initiatives, based in the Algarve. The design has its origins in the traditional culture of the region, focusing on materials, techniques, local knowledge and practices, or contemporary interpretations of the same – without prejudice to the integration of new technologies and attitudes. Main Goal: Affirm and promote craft as a profession of the future. Specific Goals: - Encourage youth involvement in activities related to the craft. - Develop an innovative product line - Support business initiatives in the craft sector through design consultancy. - Launch commercially the results obtained by stimulating and promoting interest by regional artisan products. - Promote the results national & internationally.
