Project Soar is a Moroccan charitable association dedicated to empowering teen girls to become the leaders of today and tomorrow. Our mission is grounded in the belief that when girls are equipped with confidence, knowledge, and leadership skills, they can challenge harmful social norms, pursue their dreams, uplift their communities, and ultimately change the world for the better. PS Methodology: At the core of Project Soar’s solution is Project Soar in a Bag - a portable and scalable empowerment program that translates an international human rights education into an optimised curriculum for adolescent girls ages 12-18. Our UN-approved empowerment program features 25 interactive workshops available in Arabic, French, and English, equipping girls with the knowledge and tools to embrace their Value, Voice, Body, Rights, and Path. This holistic curriculum fosters self-confidence, leadership, and goal-setting skills, while addressing issues like menstrual health, gender equality, and education. PS Footprint: Over the past decade, Project Soar has scaled its model to 40+ chapters in Morocco and expanded internationally to Uganda, Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, and Syria. With over 8,100 girls completing the program and a network of 174 trained female facilitators, Project Soar is dedicated to building a future where every girl can thrive. PS Impact: As a PS Girl progresses through each module, she undergoes a transformative process - developing her self-confidence, finding and using her voice, embracing her body, advocating for her rights and the rights of all girls, and setting ambitious goals for her future. The results are powerful: in 2024, 97.5% of Soar Girls passed their school year, 96.4% passed the baccalauréat exam, and 99.9% avoided child marriage. These outcomes demonstrate what is possible when girls are empowered with education, support, and belief in their own potential.
