RAVEN is the first student rocket project at LTU Kiruna Campus, Sweden, focused on designing, building, testing, and launching a hybrid rocket. We are a non profit student organization providing hands-on experience in rocket engineering and its subsystems. The project allows students to apply theoretical knowledge in propulsion, structures, avionics, and testing, bridging classroom learning with real-world aerospace engineering. Since 2020, the team has progressed from small-scale engine tests to developing a flight-ready prototype. We regularly conduct static and hot-fire tests to validate designs and improve performance, giving members practical experience in problem-solving, teamwork, and engineering under real conditions. RAVEN is part of the Giron Space Organisation, which supports multiple space-related projects in Kiruna. Our mission is to give students direct experience in aerospace engineering, preparing the next generation of engineers while contributing to Sweden’s growing student space community.
