Project Pollinate Information

Designed to operate as a bridge between community resources, organizations and activators in order to maximize their efficiency as well as inform the public about the services that are available to them; Project Pollinate also operates as a research group, working to obtain relevant social data that can be used by community organizations in order to gain funding while increasing exposure and resonance with the public. Aimed at promoting human rights, social justice and peace, our goal is to engage the community in a dialogue about social problems, which affect our lives here in California and the world both physically and metaphorically through roundtable discussions, meet ups and workshops. Not only do we strive to raise social consciousness and overall awareness, we want to provide an avenue for identifying problems and discussing solutions. At the same time we use different approaches to bring the community together and work to support their involvement in the decisions made by the city. One way in which that is done is, in conjunction with other organizations, Project Pollinate creates forums that are focused around issues that affect the local community. Through these forums the local groups and individual community members are connected to the wider public and use it as a way to "pollinate" their message into the minds of the population, galvanizing people to solve problems from the bottom up rather than the top down.
