The Bridge School is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that individuals with extensive speech and physical disabilities can fully participate in their communities. Through augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), assistive technology (AT), and innovative educational strategies, we empower children and families to connect, learn, and thrive.
For nearly four decades, The Bridge School has been an internationally recognized leader in the education of children who use AAC. Our programs have developed unique approaches, advanced the field, and trained highly skilled professionals in the use of state-of-the-art assistive technology.
To extend our impact beyond the classroom, we also offer Bridge to Life — a program providing specialized consulting and direct services to families, professionals, and school districts. Bridge to Life helps build inclusive systems of support, ensuring that individuals with extensive speech and / or physical disabilities have the tools and resources necessary at every stage of life.
Together, The Bridge School and Bridge to Life create opportunities for lifelong learning, independence, and community participation.
The primary vision of Able ARTS Work (formerly known as Arts & Services for Disabled, Inc.) is to provide lifelong learning, community service and vocational opportunities through the creative arts for people with disabilities of all ages in an environment of warmth, encouragement and inclusion.
