Project Neer is a youth-led initiative aimed at tackling India's escalating water crisis through the revival of traditional water conservation techniques. Rooted in community engagement, sustainability, and innovation, our mission is to bring back indigenous, eco-friendly practices like johads and soak pits to ensure water security in rural India. As winners of the HMUN Impact Initiative, our team is working closely with local communities, environmental experts, and grassroots organizations like Laksh Foundation to design context-specific, low-tech solutions. By integrating ancient wisdom with modern outreach, Project Neer is restoring dignity, resilience, and hope. So far, we have constructed percolation ponds that recharge groundwater and support local wildlife, initiated two soak pits, and conducted educational workshops reaching over 50+ youth.
